The paintings of the painter Vygantas Paukštė cannot be confused with the works of any other artist. For more than three decades of his work, a group of his favorite themes has become established: the author of lyrical-romantic situations usually examines the relationship between a woman and a man, man and nature. His artistic strategy has become commonplace - the exchange of meanings in places, the paraphrasing of known myths, connecting ritualistic and every-day actions. All of the artist's work is characterized by gentle irony. The language of painting does not change either - it is poetic. And there's also his characteristic soft silhouette drawing, sensitive color relationships.
