Textile artist, professor; actively participates in art exhibitions and projects in Lithuania and abroad.
In order to improve her competencies, she did an internship at the Helsinki University of Industrial Art and Design in Finland, the Konstnarern Kollektiv Verkstad in Stockholm, Sweden, the West Dean College of Art in England, and the Tasara Weaving Center in India. In 1985 graduated from the Lithuanian State Art Institute (Vilnius Academy of Arts) textile program. Since 1990 has worked in the Department of Textiles of Vilnius Academy of Arts. Since 1999 has been a member of the LAA. In 2002 - 2011 was the head of the Department of Textiles. In 2005 was awarded the pedagogical title of VAA associate professor. In 2008 was elected a member of the Senate of the Vilnius Academy of Arts, chairman of the science and art committee. In 2011 - 2019 was VAA Vice-Rector for Studies, Chair of the VAA Study Committee. Since 2011 has worked as a professor. Since 2012 - member of the international professional network ArcInTex. 2013 - 2014 - Chairwoman of the Study Committee of the Lithuanian Rectors' Conference. From 2020 Chairwoman of the Lithuanian Artists' Association.
