Kęstutis Grigaliūnas

Kęstutis Grigaliūnas - born in Kaunas, 1957. In 1982 graduated from graphic arts studies at State Art Institute of LTSR. Since 1981 participates in exhibitions, has organized more than 100 individual exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. 1982-1995 taught at Kaunas J. Naujalis Secondary Art School (1990-1994 Kaunas Secondary Art School, from 1994 - Kaunas Art Gymnasium). Since 1996 teaches at Vilnius Academy of Arts, 2021 awarded degree of professor. In 1988 joined Union of Lithuanian Artists, in 2008 awarded with a gold badge. In 2011 became laureate of Lithuanian National Culture and Art Prize, prize was awarded "for the impressions of historical time in contemporary art, for the spatial representation of a painful memory".


Artist's works are in Lithuanian museums, Skovde University in Sweden, library of Museum of Modern Art in New York (USA), Tate Modern Archive in London, private collections in Lithuania and abroad.
