Greta Grendaitė


Aistė Bugailiškytė, lietuvių dailininkė

Greta Grendaitė - In 1996 graduated from A. Martinaitis Art School in Kaunas. In 2002 she obtained a bachelor's degree in applied graphics at Kaunas Art Institute of Vilnius Academy of Arts. In 2003 Greta went to a postgraduate internship at Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute, Kansai, Japan. In 2004 she completed Asian studies program (1 year) at Kansai Gaidai University, Osaka, Japan. In 2005 obtained a master's degree in Art History and Criticism at Vytautas the Great University in Kaunas.


Member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union (since 2009) and the Lithuanian Photographers' Union (since 2002). She worked as an assistant (2005) and young researcher (2005-2008) at Asian Studies Center of Vytautas Magnus University, as a lecturer (2005-2011) and associate professor (2011-2015) at Department of Graphics (2009-2012 as the head of the department) at VDA Kaunas Faculty. Creates in the fields of multidisciplinary art. Organizes exhibitions with Lithuanian and foreign artists (e.g. "Before the Outburst" with Rita Marhaug at Graphic Art Research Center of University of West of England, Bristol, "At the Supreme Moment" with Dom Noreika in 2010 at "101" gallery), and together with artist Tomas Vosylius forms core of creative group "Legal (Art) Lovers". The main joint exhibitions organized by these artists are "Dressing" ("Meno parkas", 2013), "NePriSiTaikimai or When everyone knows best" ("Meno niša", 2015). Cooperates with "Meno parkas" gallery.
